Cube Escape & Rusty Lake Games in Order for PC & Mobile

This post includes all of the games in the Rusty Lake game series, listed in play order. This way, if you want to play all the games in the series chronologically, you now can. Just check the list below and you’re all set.

The excellent surreal horror adventure series with room escape, puzzle, point-and-click game play. Available to play online or to download and play for Android, iPad and iPhone.

I’ve included the whole Rusty Lake game series. This means that I’m listing below all of the free Cube Escape games, which can be played as a stand-alone series. Plus the premium spin-off Rusty Lake games, to complete the series.

Cube Escape and Rusty Lake Order

Cube Escape games – game mechanics: Tap on the arrows to navigate inside the cube. Interact with objects by tapping. Select found items in your inventory and tap somewhere on-screen to use them. Complete the game by escaping the room/cube.

0. Samsara Room

Released: 2013. Precursor to the Rusty Lake game series.

Plot: You wake up in a strange room you have never seen before. There are a lot of random objects and furniture but there is one thing missing… a door to get out.

Find a way to leave the room by interacting with the objects in this unique point-and-click adventure. Nothing is what it seems in this strange surreal place, only by thinking out of the box you will solve the riddle and escape.

1. Seasons (Cube Escape Game)

Released: April 2015.

Plot: Cube Escape is one of the most mysterious room escape game you will ever play. Try to unfold the story and mysteries behind the cubes. You will start with your first memory, spring 1964. It brings you to a calm and friendly room.

The room contains a clock, a kitchen and a garden window. Your parrot Harvey has a bad mood. Explore and start gathering items, you will quickly realise that something is wrong. Unlock the other memory cubes by creating a path between the cubes. Maybe it’s not to late…

2. The Lake (Cube Escape Game)

Released: April 2015.

Plot: You’ve found an abandoned cabin on a small Island at Rusty Lake. The only thing you can find is some fishing gear, a knife and a crow bar. Start exploring and let’s fish! Perhaps you can change your fate…

3. Arles (Cube Escape Game)

Released: June 2015.

Plot: You’re trapped inside your bedroom in Arles. It feels like you’re surrounded by art. Explore the room and start completing the pictures, search for colors and gather your painting materials.

4. Harvey’s Box (Cube Escape Game)

Released: June 2015.

Plot: It’s 1969 and Harvey is trapped inside a box moving to Rusty Lake… Find out what’s going on and help Harvey escape by solving numerous of puzzles.

5. Case 23 (Cube Escape Game)

Released: July 2015.

Plot: In Cube Escape: Case 23 you need to investigate the mysterious death of a woman. Collect all the evidence and discover the gateway to Rusty Lake.

6. The Mill (Cube Escape Game)

Released: September 2015.

Plot: Welcome to the Rusty Lake Mill, the residence of Mr. Crow. A familiar guest will arrive soon and it is your task to get that mysterious machine running.

7. Rusty Lake: Hotel

Released: December 2015.

Plot: Welcome our guests to the Rusty Lake Hotel and make sure they will have a pleasant stay. There will be 5 dinners this week. Make sure every dinner is worth dying for.

8. Birthday (Cube Escape Game)

Released: February 2016.

Plot: Welcome to your 9th birthday, winter 1939. There is cake, music and a mysterious present. However, the mood changes quickly when an unexpected guest arrives at your party.

9. Theatre (Cube Escape Game)

Released: April 2016.

Plot: Welcome to the theatre of your mind. Tonight we have an engaging program, featuring a familiar cast. Fulfill all 6 plays in order to continue your journey.

10. Rusty Lake: Roots

Released: October 2016.

Plot: James Vanderboom’s life drastically changes when he plants a special seed in the garden of the house he has inherited. Expand your bloodline by unlocking portraits in the tree of life.

11. The Cave (Cube Escape Game)

Released: March 2017.

Plot: An old man is about to enter a mysterious Cave. A familiar guest needs your help before you descend deeper and deeper into Rusty Lake.

12. Rusty Lake: Paradise

Released: January 2018.

Plot: Jakob, the oldest son of the Eilander family, is returning to Paradise island after his mother passed away.

Since her mysterious death, the island seems to be cursed by the ten plagues. Find the mother’s hidden memories and partake in strange family rituals in order to stop the plagues.

13. Paradox (Cube Escape Game)

Released: September 2018.

Plot: When the infamous detective Dale Vandermeer wakes up in an ominous room without any recollection of his past…

he soon finds himself part of a bizarre game orchestrated by an old foe.

Dale must solve increasingly challenging puzzles to escape the room and recover his memories.

14. The White Door

From: Rusty Lake/Second Maze | Release date: January 9, 2020 for iOS, Android and Steam (for PC and Mac).

15. The Past Within

Release date: Expected Q2 2022 for iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac.

Description: “The first Rusty Lake game to be multiplayer and set in a 3D environment made with Unity”.

Plot: You are faced with solving a mystery for someone you know to be dead. The only way to solve the puzzles is to communicate with the past. Different times, different perspectives, a singular goal! Cooperate and fulfil Albert’s legacy!

16. Cube Escape Collection

Release: October 2020 for iOS, Android and Steam (for PC and Mac).

Description: In this classic point-and-click adventure anthology you follow the path of Dale and Laura and other famous Rusty lake characters such as Mr. Crow and Mr. Owl.

17. Underground Blossom

Release: September 2023

Description: Descend into the Rusty Lake Underground and travel through the life and memories of Laura Vanderboom!

Travel from station to station, each metro stop symbolising a piece of Laura’s past and future.

Solve various puzzles, find the correct metro to board and uncover one of Laura’s timelines, while simultaneously helping her make sense of her life and escape the corruption of her mind!
