The First Order remains a powerhouse of a faction for Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes ever since the release of Galactic Legend Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. But what about the best First Order squads to use in the game?
I have updated the list below, with all options based on each game mode, from Territory Battles to the Grand Arena Championship! Let’s begin!
Best All-Around First Order Squad
If you don’t want to customize your squad constantly, the one recommended below should work decently (at least) in every game mode out there.
Squad Composition:
• Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Leader)
• Kylo Ren Unmasked
• General Hux
• Sith Trooper
• First Order Stormtrooper
Why It Works:
Kylo Ren’s heavy‐hitting kit and supportive buffs ensure that this squad can push through most opponents. The synergy between Kylo Ren Unmasked’s self‐sustain and the damage output of General Hux and Sith Trooper makes this team a solid generic pick.

Territory Battles | Geonosis
DS Geo TB is a game mode of attrition, and few squads do attrition better than those led by Kylo Ren Unmasked. His Leader ability self-sustains through status effects, recovering 5% Health and 5% Protection for every effect.
This means both buffs and debuffs help, and there are tons of those in DS Geo TB. A strong First Order team can carry you through into the last phase, even without Supreme Leader Kylo Ren.
Squad Composition:
• Kylo Ren Unmasked (Leader)
• General Hux
• Sith Trooper
• First Order Executioner
• Kylo Ren

Territory Wars & Omega Events
Captain Phasma’s Omicron tier ability impacts her Leader ability in Territory Wars. She’s instantly a game-changer, capable of taking out anything short of Galactic Legends squads.

• Captain Phasma (Leader)
• First Order Executioner
• First Order TIE Pilot
• First Order SF TIE Pilot
• First Order Stormtrooper

Grand Arena Championship
The best Grand Arena Championship 5v5 teams are already listed above, so refer to those until some more Omicron abilities arrive for the current roster of First Order characters. GAC 3v3 is a different beast offering some flexibility and variations.
Strong GAC 3v3 Offense squads:
- Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (L), General Hux, First Order Officer.
- General Hux (L), First Order Stormtrooper, Sith Trooper.
- Kylo Ren Unmasked (L), First Order Executioner, Kylo Ren.
- Captain Phasma, First Order TIE Pilot, First Order SF TIE Pilot.
Strong GAC 3v3 Defense squads:
- Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (L), First Order Stormtroopver, Kylo Ren Unmasked.
- Kylo Ren Unmasked (L), Kylo Ren, First Order Officer.
- Kylo Ren Unmasked (L), First Order Stormtrooper, Sith Trooper.
- Captain Phasma (L), First Order Stormtrooper, First Order TIE Pilot.
Assault Battles
In modes like Military Might and Ground War, the attrition style of the Kylo Ren Unmasked-led team can give you great results, so building a team around him makes sense. Here’s my recommended setup:
- Kylo Ren Unmasked (Leader)
- General Hux
- Sith Trooper
- First Order Executioner
- Kylo Ren
Wrapping up
It’s never too early to start farming First Order characters as they’re some of the most accessible ones in SWGOH. Their versatility can also take early and mid-game players reasonably far through all events.
Even with all the Galactic Legends releases, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren remains a viable choice with his heavy-hitting kit that can reliably solo most squads that don’t have an opposing Galactic Legends character.
