Best Darkside Geonosis Territory Battle Squads in SWGOH

Darkside Geonosis Territory Battle Squads and Characters

Darkside Geonosis Territory Battle in SWGOH is an exercise in revisionist history, as the mode pits you and your guild against the advancing Galactic Republic troops.

This Territory Battle is the next difficulty tier for entry-level guilds as they gear up for more advanced characters in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.

Darkside squads are generally heavy-hitting, so there are plenty of great options to choose from in DS Geo TB, but I still want to take you through the best options so that you can build that perfect team.

And, if for some strange reason, you want to switch sides, check out my previous guide sharing the best lightside geonosis territory battle squads.

Galactic Legends: Best Choice for TB squads

Galactic Legends were brought to SWGOH to basically be the cheat code for most game modes. You have the best characters here and they should be the first ones you choose for the missions you get.

The best options here are, in no particular order (since they’re all amazing):

  • Lord Vader, with a kit perfect for auto-ing to 4/4s.
  • Supreme Leader Kylo Ren – a tried and true character for pure dominance in DS Geo TB.
  • Sith Eternal Emperor – a more difficult choice, since he needs time to charge up his ultimate. But still great, especially when paired up with Wat Tambor.

Separatist | Droids

The Separatist faction earns hefty bonuses throughout the entirety of DS Geo TB – especially the droids.

One of the best investments you can make for this game mode is to farm General Grievous, B1 Battle Droid, B2 Super Battle Droid, IG-100 MagnaGuard, and Droideka.

These are the droids you’re looking for since they’re requirements for some of the missions within DS Geo TB. Even outside of the game mode, Separatist droids are key for the General Skywalker Journey event and Territory Wars. They also hit hard on Galactic Conquest, which is made even easier if you choose the best consumables I shared previously.

Separatist | Geonosians

Allow me to reemphasize the bonuses for the Separatist faction as well as the importance of the mission requirements that extend to the Geonosians.

Geonosians are a fun faction to use, and they’re required to unlock shards for Wat Tambor. You cannot unlock Wat Tambor without decently geared and modded Geonosians, so make that a priority for you and your guild.

Wat Tambor is one of, if not the best, plug-and-play characters in SWGOH. For more strategies like this, read the Best SWGOH Early Game Cantina Farms article.

The gear investment isn’t too crazy, and you can get by with only giving Relic levels to Geonosian Brood Alpha. If you’re feeling ambitious, you should Relic Sun Fac, Geonosian Soldier, and Geonosian Spy for some increased power to their ships that are also used in DS Geo TB. Outside of this game mode, Geonosians are also handy for unlocking Padme Amidala shards in the Journey Guide event.

Sith Empire

Darth Revan once ruled the galaxy in SWGOH. It was dominance in the meta in every game mode possible.

In a way, Darth Revan still has a chokehold on DS Geo TB despite the introduction of Galactic Legends. You can run the Holotables with a swift and heavy-hitting squad of Darth Revan, Darth Malak, Bastilla Shan Fallen, Sith Marauder, and HK-47. Their debuffs cripple Turn Meter for the Galactic Republic – unless Padme Amidala is there – leaving endless turns for your squad if managed properly.

Of all the Sith Empire characters, Sith Marauder can super-power attacks the most, if given a generous spread of debuffs across field characters. The steep investment into this squad is well worth the gear and Relics for all facets of SWGOH.

DS Geo TB | Honorable Mentions
