How to Play the Cluedo/Clue Bingo Game App

As with their previous Hasbro board game adaptation using Monopoly. Storm8 have used the idea behind the original Cluedo board game play. Where you have to solve the murder mystery. By working out the where, how and whodunnit. And have applied it to this Bingo app. And have done a very good job of it too!

• Play Bingo in the classic rooms. Including the Library, the Billiards Room and the Kitchen.
• Plus some new special rooms – the Bath and Amory.
• And meet the classic 6 suspects. As you move from room to room of the mansion.
• The more games you play the more rooms, levels and quests you unlock.
• This also opens up more bonuses and rewards for you to earn.
• Please note, this in an online game. You can’t play this Bingo game offline.
• When you first open this Bingo app. You’ll start with 30 dice, $2150 (but only virtual cash!), 20 gems, 42 lightning flashes and 20 magnifying glasses (magnifiers). All of these items have significance, in how you play the Bingo game. I’ve tried to cover details for each of them in this overview.
• Plus you’ll receive a daily bonus of free dice. Which is renewed every 21 hours. So you do have to open the Bingo app every day. To claim your bonuses.

Game Modes

• With 3 modes to play in: Classic, Special and Tournament.
• In the Classic mode – play multiple cards at a time. Each card will cost you dice. The number of dice needed to buy cards will depend on which room you are in. For example the Hall costs 2 dice per card. Whilst higher level rooms, such as the Kitchen. Which is unlocked once you reach level 7. Costs 4 dice per Bingo card.
• You can play up to 8 cards on smart phones. And up to 12 cards on iPad. Though I found that playing more than 3 cards can be very tricky to keep up with. But then you maybe be better at it than me!
• You can also pay, with gems for your cards to be automatically daubed. I think, this is the best way to keep on top of playing more than 3 cards at a time.

Boosts

• There are 3 level boosts to take advantage of as well. If you have any boosts available to you, they are shown by the number of lightning flashes in the top right-hand corner. Daub the numbers on your cards, as they are called out. And the boost meter will start filling up. When it reaches the first level – denoted by a lightning flash. Then you can apply the boost to your card. If you can wait to fill in the next level(s). You will benefit with bigger and better boosts.
• Example boosts include:
  • Cash Boost – click on this to add cash spaces to your card. And if that space is daubed you’ll collect a cash prize at the end of the game. That’s virtual cash of course. And if you let the cash boost charge to level 3. This adds a Gem spot to the board.
  • Bomb boost – apply this to your card(s). And random spaces will be marked with a bomb. Then if you daub the space. The adjacent spaces will automatically be daubed as well. Thus helping you get a Bingo faster. And the more the boost meter is charged. The greater the number of spaces will be daubed too.
  • Instant Bingo boost (i.e. yellow star) – this is a great boost to get, as it adds an instant bingo space to your card. And so if you daub this space you will immediately get a bingo! Again, the greater charge, the more cards you’ll get it on.

  These are just a few examples of the boosts you can use. To make the most of your daubed numbers. So that even if you don’t get a Bingo. You will still have earned plenty of rewards.

Game Play

• To get a Bingo in the classic mode. You need to have daubed numbers in a winning layout. Either the 4 corners, a row or a column, or a diagonal line. This adds up to 13 different ways to get a Bingo per card. Once you have one of these, hit the Bingo button. But remember as you are playing against others online. There are others getting Bingo too. And there’s only so many available to win in each round. So you have to get a Bingo before they all go!
• So as well as getting rewards for getting Bingo(s) in each round. You’ll also earn rewards for playing, daubing and for your good use of any boosts. Plus the more you play the more experience points you’ll get. (More XP also helps to move up through the levels. Which in turn unlock rooms and other cool stuff). These rewards are collected after each round. And can include dice, cash, gems and mystery envelopes.
• Mystery envelopes can contain further rewards. You’ll need to pay in magnifiers to be able to open these envelopes. Some envelopes will contain collectibles. Each room has 24 items to collect. Once you have completed a collection, you receive additional daily bonuses. Such as more dice.

Cluedo/Clue Bingo App – Daily Bonuses, How to Get More Dice & Game Modes

• Daily Bonuses – every day you will get more free dice to play with. The amount you get will depend on your experience level. So playing the game more, will give you more free dice to collect every day.
• Plus if you’ve completed the collectibles for any of the rooms. This will get you more free dice to collect every day.
• Remember to open the app daily and claim your bonuses. As they don’t roll-over to the next day.
• You can also buy more dice with gems. And you can earn more gems by playing Bingo games. And also by using strategies. Like using the cash boost level 3, as detailed above.
• Also you can also get your friends to ‘gift’ you stuff via Facebook.
• Achievements – there are also other ways to earn cash, gems and dice. Including completing tasks for each room. Such as solving the murder mystery in a puzzle game.
• In-app purchases are also available. If for example you’ve run out of dice. And don’t have enough gems to get more. And can’t wait for another 21 hours for your next daily bonus of free dice. (I know the feeling!) You can pay for more gems (to get more dice) with real money.
• Special mode allows you to play Bingo with 5 balls at a time. You need to reach a certain level to unlock this mode.
• Tournament mode lets you play Bingo rounds, with friends and other players online. In this mode, you pay for Bingo cards with your virtual cash. You need to reach a certain level to unlock this mode.

Cluedo/Clue Bingo! Review – My Pick for the Best Bingo Apps for Android & iOS

This is just a quick overview of the Cluedo Bingo app. And I hope I’ve covered the main elements of the game. As you can see there’s alot to do in this Bingo app! The daily dice bonus is, I think just about enough for me to play it every day. As it stops me from playing the game all day. Which I could easily do! As this is a highly addictive Bingo game.

I really enjoy playing this Bingo app. It is one of the best Bingo apps I’ve played. Because as well as the fast-paced Bingo game play. This has incorporated the Cluedo board game theme well. And with the strategic use of boosts. And playing multiple cards. All the while keeping an eye on the countdown of Bingo left. All add up to a very fun, frantic and addictive top Bingo game app!
