Mystery Case Files is turning 20, and I just realized how old I am because I played the first when it launched. However, it’s time for a big celebration to mark this occasion, and Big Fish Games is celebrating as they should, by reopening the door to the franchise’s most iconic storyline.
This means that a new game is about to be launched! The title is Mystery Case Files: House That Love Built and it launches on November 25, on both Big Fish and Steam, marking the long-awaited return to the Ravenhearst arc – the closest thing the hidden-object genre has to a “main timeline.”
For anyone who grew up on Ravenhearst, Return to Ravenhearst, or the unapologetically wild Escape From Ravenhearst, this is the chapter fans have been waiting for.
It’s like whenever Mystery Case Files has something big to say, it circles back to Ravenhearst. And if you want to make sure that you don’t miss any title in the series, check out my previous article sharing all the Mystery Case Files games in order (including Ravenhearst).
The 20-Year Legacy

We can honestly say that Mystery Case Files practically built the blueprint for the HOPA (Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure) genre, from its original start – which many, myself included, still find more appealing – to its modern day look.
Before the genre exploded across PC portals and later mobile, MCF set the pace with its mix of puzzles, supernatural threads, and serial storytelling. Ravenhearst, in particular, became the franchise’s identity piece, the entry players still reference two decades later.
That’s why this new release isn’t just “another sequel,” but a deliberate return to the franchise’s roots during such an important anniversary. And we, the fans of the series, have all the reasons to be happy: the game looks amazing!
It’s a a milestone anniversary.

The new game continues the New Timeline arc and pulls the Master Detective back into familiar and cursed territory. Agency director Evelyn Ravenhearst resurfaces with a warning: Angelica Morgan’s spirit is still active, and something buried deep beneath the manor is waking up.
From there, the investigation pushes players into a sprawling underground labyrinth tied to Charles Dalimar’s past, forgotten experiments, and the fallout of the 1896 archives.
It’s a direct continuation of the narrative threads that longtime fans still remember – and if you don’t, it’s a good excuse to play or replay the older games.
Detectives Isabella Drake and Leo Harrison return as supporting characters, while the game leans on the signature MCF mix of atmospheric hidden-object scenes, mechanical puzzle chains, and supernatural anomalies. Pure Ravenhearst energy for the fans!
House That Love Built launches on Big Fish Games and Steam, and for a franchise that helped define an entire genre, returning to Ravenhearst for its 20th anniversary is more than nostalgia, more than a simple celebration, it’s everything fans have ever wanted.
