Strange Investigations is one of the newer HOPA series created by Elephant Games and available mainly on PC. In today’s article, I will share all the games in the series in order so that you can play them chronologically.
The first game in the series was launched in 2021, quickly becoming one of my favorites that year. Since then, I’ve been playing the Strange Investigations games with pleasure, always anticipating the next release.
I consider these as good as – or maybe better than – other great Elephant Games titles, like the Mystery Trackers series or the Paranormal Files Series. But now let’s check out the Strange Investigations games in order!
Strange Investigations: Becoming
Release Date: January 29, 2021
Developer: Elephant Games
Story & Gameplay: Becoming introduces Dana Strange, a detective who left the police force after solving the case of her missing sister. She is lured back into action when an old friend recruits her to a private investigative agency, and Dana takes on a new case with eerie connections to her past.
Players progress through this Hidden-Object Puzzle Adventure game, finding clues and solving puzzles as Dana solves a mysterious crime that grows more unsettling at every turn.

Strange Investigations: Two for Solitaire
Release Date: May 27, 2022
Developer: Elephant Games
Story & Gameplay: In the second game of the franchise, Dana and her partner Malcolm have barely wrapped up their initial case before they’re itching for a new case to crack. They soon stumble into a sinister mystery that brings danger right to their doorstep.
So prepare for the ultimate HOPA treat as you investigate crime scenes, search for hidden clues, and solve mini-games as the detectives navigate the twists and turns of a case driven by a disturbed mind.

Strange Investigations: Secrets Can Be Deadly
Release Date: June 8, 2023
Developer: Elephant Games
Story & Gameplay: Again, almost immediately after their previous case, Dana and Malcolm are thrust into another baffling case.
An unprovoked attack on a friend of Dana’s launches an investigation that uncovers a legendary story of betrayal, murder, and revenge.
Your quest is to help the investigators dig for the truth by exploring hidden object scenes and solving puzzles. The gameplay continues the series’ formula of puzzle-solving and clue-finding, as Dana struggles to piece together terrible events of the past and present.

Strange Investigations: Truth Will Out
Release Date: August 16, 2024
Developer: Elephant Games
Story & Gameplay: The fourth installment in the series sees Dana hired by nightclub magnate Kevin Woods to investigate his wife’s kidnapping – a case that quickly entangles crimes of passion and betrayal.
As Dana digs deeper, she discovers there’s far more to the situation than a simple ransom, with a tangled love triangle (at the very least) and a web of lies where it’s unclear who can be trusted.
