Let’s check out the updated list of Agatha Christie adventure games, all in chronological order so that you can play them from first to last and enjoy every second of it.
Based on Agatha Christie’s famous stories, the series deliver high quality point-and-click adventure gameplay with some RPG crime-solving elements.
The series is available mainly for PC and Nintendo Wii/Swich, but a few releases are available on other platforms as well. Check them all out below!

1. Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None
From: The Adventure Company.
Released: 2005.
Plot: 10 people, strangers to each other are invited to a lavish estate on a remote island.
Through a recording their mysterious host accuses each of his guests of murder and proceeds to exact justice. The tension mounts as, one by one, the number of people are reduced through the ingenious plotting of the unseen killer.
Prepare to play the 11th character where only your detective wits can save you now.

2. Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express (2006 Version)
From: The Adventure Company.
Released: 2006.
Plot: Playing as Antoinette Marceau a new character introduced into this classic tale. It is up to you alone to help Hercule Poirot solve the mystery of Mr. Ratchett’s murder.
In this video game adaptation of Agatha Christie’s famous novel you become a part of the action. Experiencing all the suspense intrigue and a surprising new twist ending!

3. Agatha Christie: Evil Under the Sun
From: The Adventure Company.
Released: 2007.
Plot: How does a millionaire wind up with a phony diamond? Can Hercule Poirot solve a murder on an exclusive island resort frequented by the rich and famous when everyone has an alibi?
One of Agatha Christie’s most famous characters is back in typical style. Turning up at just the right time to begin an investigation into the murder of a famous actress. During what should have been the start of a relaxing holiday.

4. Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders (Nintendo DS)
Nintendo DS release: November 2009.
From: AWE Games and Black Lantern Studios.
Publisher: DreamCatcher Interactive.
Description: Agatha Christie’s A.B.C Murders tells the story of Captain Hastings and Hercule Poirot as they attempt to solve a series of bizarre murders committed by an elusive madman.
Going off the simple clue of the A.B.C railway guide left at the scene of each crime.
Hastings and Poirot follow the leads to Andover, Bexhill, Churston, and Doncaster. Trying to apprehend the killer before the next crime is committed.

5. Agatha Christie: ABC Murders (2016 Game)
From: Microids/Artefacts Studios | First released: February 2016.
Though also based on Christie’s excellent ABC Murders book, this is a different version to the Nintendo DS game above.
Description: Adapted from the classic Agatha Christie novel, ‘The ABC Murders’ is an adventure and investigation game, offering sharp-minded gamers the chance to step into the shoes of Hercule Poirot.
Join the famous detective as he attempts to unmask the elusive murderer known as “ABC” by solving puzzles, and exploring crime scenes, rendered stylishly in cel-shaded, real-time 3D.
To solve the case, players will have to talk to characters, gather evidence and solve challenging puzzles in order to collect clues and piece together the mystery in order to bring this murderer to justice.

7. Agatha Christie: Hercule Poirot – The London Case
From: Blazing Griffin/Microids | Release Date: August 29, 2023
In this detective adventure game, created by the same studio that delivered the previous Hercule Poirot game, you play as the renowned detective as well as his sidekick Hastings.
Your goal? To secure a valuable painting of Mary Magdalene destined for a London Museum exhibit.
At the museum, you work closely with the painting’s new owner, Mortimer Ailsworth, and the curator, Evelyn Warbeck, using all available resources to safeguard the painting from potential threats. But, as you can imagine, the painting is stolen and it’s up for you to solve the case!

8. Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express

This game is a modern adaptation of the classic novel, and not a remake of the original Murder of the Orient Express game released in 2006.
Offering a total of 14 chapters (1 prologue + 13 chapters), it stays true to Agatha Christie’s novel, while introducing contemporary elements like mobile phones and computers.
Players take on the roles of both Hercule Poirot and a new character, American detective Joanna Locke. This adaptation offers a blend of faithful storytelling and modern twists, providing a unique experience for fans of the classic whodunit. Top quality for adventure game fans!
