If you get stuck playing Rooms & Exits Chapter 2 Level 16, have no worries! Today, I will share a complete walkthrough for this level, with easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions so you can complete it quickly.

I know that beating this level is difficult and things can get confusing – this is the case in all Rooms & Exits levels. But I managed to figure everything out after plenty of trial and error (and quite a few in-game tips) and now I am here to share the full solution with you, in case you’re also stuck.

I do recommend trying to complete the level by yourself, using the in-game hints and help, as well as your own puzzle-solving skills. But if everything else fails, read on for the complete walkthrough!

Rooms & Exits Chapter 2 Level 16 Attic Walkthrough

  • Take the white rag off the white chair on the left. Ignore the snake… for now…
  • The letters from the cupboard next to that chair.
  • On them there’s the name Edgar.
  • Check the chest with the little heart lock and insert each letter so it write Edgar in the end.
    • Correct Order: ARDGE
  • You’ll find a wrench inside.
  • Use it to unscrew the screws on the plank above the clock.
  • Take the pump out.
  • Next to the chair in the middle of the room, there’s a box with pumpkins and a box with a puzzle you need to solve.
  • Take the hook from inside and hook the round swing chair to the ceiling.
  • You’ll find a fan where it used to be, with the numbers: 34 – 42 – 50
  • Take deflated basketball from the pumpkin box.
  • Use the pump to inflate the basketball.
  • The numbers 183 from the ball can be used on the round box under the desk.
  • Inside you’ll find a fan with three numbers 17 – 21 – 25
  • Check the supply box on the right and take the cleaning spray.
  • Under the red gas canister, there’s a clock arrow.
  • On the shelves to the right, there’s a tool box with another clock arrow.
  • Combine the rag with the spray and use it on the windows so the sun comes in brighter.
  • Look at the floor and you’ll see a new symbol lighting up from the sun.
  • The bigger one looks like a 2 and the middle small one looks like a 6.
  • Go to the clock and put the arrows in and move them to tell the time: 2:06
  • It will give you a key.
  • Use it to open the box in the drawer next to the small white chair.
  • You’ll find a heartbeats note.
  • Some of them are more red than others.
  • Look at the cubes on the floor and position them in the correct pattern like the note says.
  • You’ll find a fan inside with two numbers on and a ?
    • 51 – ? – 75
    • Based on the other fans you can find missing numbers by adding to the others.
    • 17 – 25 – 21 – you add 4
    • 34 – 42 – 50 – you add 8
    • 51 – ? – 75 – you add 12
  • Enter the code 4812 to the bird’s cage.
  • Take the wooden heart from inside and use it on the small wooden house on the floor.
  • A mouse will get out of the house and you have to catch it.
  • Yes, you heard me…
  • Use it on the snake that is staying on your way to get out of here.
  • You’ll find a handle that you can use it on the trap door the snake was sitting on.
  • Now you can get out of here.

And you’re done! You have completed the level!
