Grandma’s Tablet Hides a Secret is another limited-time level you can complete in Rooms & Exits for some amazing rewards. The pressure is real, as you only have 20 minutes to complete the puzzle – so if you’ve tried everything and nothing seems to work, today’s walkthrough will surely come in handy.
I am here to share the step-by-step solution to Grandma’s Tablet Hides a Secret level in Rooms & Exits, help Grandma Flynn, and grab that awesome reward.
Note: This is the second limited-time event in the game, following the recently-published Lucy’s Missing: Help Find the Pup.
1. First, let’s collect some easy-to-find puzzle pieces:
- one from the table
- one by the flower pots on the windowsill
- one behind the pillow on the couch
2. Open the large drawer on top of the dressing and zoom in: the goal here is to pair the matching items, as follows:
- paint bucket and brush
- camera and big lens
- fork and tablespoon
- lipstick and large metallic handheld mirror
- batteries and remote controls
- the two red sneakers
- toy car and train
- pill bottles
- tooth brush and paste
- photo and frame
- necklace and brooch (on the hat)
- pencil and notebook
- charger and phone
- hat and gloves
After removing all items, pick up the Ballerina.
3. Tap the small area right under the table to see the other part of the room. On the book shelf, right above the armchair, there is a music box – tap it and add the Ballerina. A photo will appear – notice that it says 40 on the balloon. Take the photo.
4. Take a puzzle piece from the photo frame on the fireplace. Also, tap the door by the armchair and get another puzzle piece that falls from there.
5. Tap the balls of thread on the armchair and remove them one by one (always tapping the one on top). Get the Crochet hook.
6. Go back to the other side of the room and use the Crochet hook to open the shelf under the table. Considering that we’d number the strings from 1 to 5, with the left-most one being 1, and the right-most one being 5, tap them in this order:
- 4-1-3-5-2
Get the photo (and notice the 3 on the cake)
7. Zoom into the puzzle pieces on the floor and add the puzzle pieces from your inventory, then solve the photo puzzle (first remove all the pieces from the main area, then start with the corners). Take the photo.
8. Tap the notebook on the table, then add the photos from your inventory. The resulting password is – 40835
9. Tap the tablet on the couch and use the password above. Read the message and notice the final line.
10. Go to the fireplace room area and slide the screen up a bit – you will see that now you have two areas you can move to. Tap the one to the right to visit the new room.
11. Get the flashlight from the bed. Get the gamepad from the pillow, the toy soldier next to the pillow and the damaged toy soldier by the TV stand.
12. Tap the video game console under the TV and turn it on. Notice the new color code on the TV: pink, light blue, green, purple, yellow, red (but use it from right to left on the shelf by the TV). Get the toy soldier, screwdriver and glue.
13. In your inventory, tap the gamepad and screwdriver and select “combine” to get a battery. Also combine the glue and the red toy soldier.
14. Tap the train on the table and use the battery on the controller. It’s puzzle time! We need to connect the locomotive to the energy by connecting all the pieces – it’s straightforward, just tap them in order starting with the one closest to the locomotive.
15. Step two of the puzzle: this one is a bit more difficult: start by rotating the energy tile, then work from there. Finally, the third step of the puzzle is even more challenging: start by turning the locomotive first and work your way from there. Get the toy soldier.
16. Tap the area under the bed and use the flashlight to see. Near the ball, tap the items to remove them until you reveal a new toy soldier.
17. Go back and tap the shelf above the bed. Add the soldiers there. We must now make them match the colors. Tap the soldiers in this order:
- Red, yellow, purple, red, green
- Purple, red, green
- Purple, blue, green
- Red, Blue, purple
- Red, green, purple, red.
18. Get the key and use it to open the small door near the TV. Tap the necklace and watch the cutscene.
This is it! You have now completed the limited-time level and solved Grandma’s Tablet Hides a Secret. It was fun, and even though short, it was very difficult, but I am sure the rewards were well worth it.
