Plot: Greetings, human! As you know, our world is in peril, and there is nothing more we elves can do. But there is hope! You are the one we have been waiting for, the Champion who will brave the dangerous forbidden zone to retrieve the legendary Nucleus. With it, we can save this world and cure-all sickness – and yes, even heal your dying father! The path will be dangerous, and enemies will try to stop you at every turn. But we have faith that you will prevail. So go forth, over the rooftops and down into the ruins of the Old World. Good luck, human. You will need it…
Dawn of Hope: Skyline Adventure CE – Features
- You play Lana, who must continue the task her father first attempted. And save the village of Promise from danger!
- Retrieve the Nucleus from the Forbidden Zone.
- Using mostly just your wits and climbing skills. Your grappling hook and rope maybe basic, but it’s your most useful tool. As you’ll need to find the quickest way through the ruins of the Old World.
- Be on the lookout for items that you can use or repurpose as tools and other useful items.
- With puzzles, mini-games and interactive hidden object scenes throughout.
- Play in 4 difficulty modes: Easy, Medium, Hard, Custom.
- A fast-travel map is available. And also indicates where locations and objectives are available.
- There’s a rechargeable hints system. And a rechargeable puzzle skip button. The time to recharge depends on the difficulty mode you’re playing in.
- A magic Rune table is another handy tool you have. With a runic match 3 mini-game, use it to combine items to make them into tools.
- With Collector’s Edition extras. Including a bonus chapter, collectibles, morphing items, achievements and a strategy guide.
Dawn of Hope: Skyline Adventure CE – Review
Skyline Adventure uses gorgeous artwork to set the scene. Brilliantly depicting remnants of both the elven world and the human world that have been left behind. With ruins of a city and it’s skyscrapers overrun with trees and foliage. And interspersed with Elven artifacts.
There are plenty of puzzles and mini-games. With a good variety of challenge and type for both. There also some (but not many) interactive HOP scenes, which for the most part are relatively simple. The game play overall is not too challenging.
However, where this game really excels is in the smooth and intuitive mechanics of the game play. As you journey through this unusual world. The game play makes the most of this intriguing elven and human combination. And gives this game a unique and refreshing feel.
