In the WMC games, you take turns in playing as one of the main characters. Each have their own unique crime-solving profession and expertise. And you get to take on their roles throughout each case. Undertaking tasks as they would do in their respective jobs. This gives, I think in a more realistic, fuller involvement in solving the cases in each game.

Play as either as Lindsay Boxer, SFPD homicide police detective. Or as Claire Washburn the forensic examiner. Or as Cindy Thomas the crime reporter at the local newspaper.

The various aspects in each investigation range from official interviewing of witnesses. Questioning possible suspects. Collecting crime scene evidence. Analysing evidence with CSI forensic techniques. To following tip-offs and potential clues.
