Plot: When detective Alfred Fox is called by his ex-girlfriend Barbara, he never imagined that it would be the investigation of his life… and hers. After finding Barbara dead in her living room, he begins a vendetta fueled search for the killer. What lengths will Fox go to, in avenging the death of his old flame? Find the clues you seek in this all new detective series.

Noir Chronicles 1:Â City of Crime – Review
City of Crime features a good storyline from the start. Along with fitting noir-themed visuals, especially in the illustrations of the different locations. And the excellent background music which also sets the right tone.
The main character, Alfred Fox is well depicted – with his English accent and realistic dialog. However some of the secondary characters are not quite so well done. A bit clumsy and unconvincing – both in the way they are drawn and with their dialog.
As for the game play – there’s a good variety. With some tricky puzzles and mini-games. And the HO scenes are also done well, using relevant items to suit the locations. Though the main game is a bit short. There are plenty of well-hidden collectibles to keep you busy, throughout the collector’s edition.
Overall though the game is a bit on the short side. And some of the characters could have been done better. There’s enough to enjoy, especially if you are a fan of HOPA games with a noir private eye theme.
