Today, I am here to share with you all the games in the Roads of Rome series, listed in chronological order. This way, you can play them all based on their release date – or just check out each game in the series.
This is one of the longest-running time management series in the casual genre, and I am sure I’m not the only one who has spent countless hours completing all the missions in these games.

Roads of Rome Series List

Roads of Rome 1
PC release: September 2010.
Plot: Follow a romantic story, explore barbarian lands, win recognition, and achieve success in Roads of Rome, a fun Time Management game!
You are the only one who can help Victorius accomplish lots of challenging tasks, and marry Caesar’s daughter, the young and beautiful Julia.
Bring Roman spirit and culture to the barbarians, build roads, and prove that you are the best Roman legionary in the whole empire!
Roads of Rome 2
PC release: December 2010.
Plot: Caesar, the governor of Rome, has been poisoned, and there’s no potion strong enough in the world of mortals that can cure him of his terrible disease.
Caesar’s daughter Julia is in despair and Victorius, an honorable general, sets out on a long journey to the kingdom of the Gods.
The lands of barbarians are full of dangers, so be careful! Help Victorius find the magic potion that will save Caesar’s life in Roads to Rome 2!
Roads of Rome 3
PC release: September 2011.
Plot: Stop the invading barbarian forces and restore the settlements and broken roads in Roads of Rome 3, a fun Strategy game!
Julia and Victorius are absolutely happy awaiting the birth of their first child.
However, one day a messenger arrives in Rome spreading the bad news about Barbarians that are destroying the Roman provinces.
Help Victorius and his army resist the enemy and protect Rome from the forthcoming disaster!
Roads of Rome: New Generation
PC release: November 2015.
Plot: The Roman Empire was wealthy and powerful. It seemed nothing can threaten its peace and prosperity.
Until, one day, a sudden misfortune came upon the land, and the Romans had to face earthquakes of unseen power.
The consequences were drastic, and young Marcus Victorious had to save its citizens and bring back the life to its previous glory. New settlements, new roads and new future for the people have to be built…

Roads of Rome: New Generation 2
PC release: November 2017.
Plot: Roads of Rome: New Generation 2 takes us back to the ancient Roman empire, where dark shadows of the past have risen on a peaceful Rome.
Markus, son of general Victorius, leads an army to confront the danger, leaving his beloved Valeria behind in the city.
Determined to participate in the battle, she finds herself on the borders of the empire facing incredible challenges!
Roads of Rome: New Generation 3
PC release: July 2020.
Plot: Rome continues to flourish, and their Gaul allies look to expand trade relations by building more roads to far-away borders.
During this expansion, Caesar sends General Marcus and his beloved Valeria.
However, they do not yet know that one of the Gallic leaders has risen in revolt and is gathering an army to march on Rome, and that an assassin is waiting for them in ambush on the shore!
Roads of Rome: Portals
PC release: July 2021.
Story: A squad of valiant Roman soldiers and their workers were returning home from yet another military campaign. On the way back, they were overtaken by a strong storm, and their ship crashed on the rocks of a deserted island.
When in the cave, the Romans discovered a mysterious ancient teleport. They were faced with a choice – to die or to take a step into the unknown. They definitely did not want to die…

Roads of Rome: Portals 2
PC release: May 2022.
Plot: The brave warriors of Rome continue to explore the fantastic worlds beyond the ancient portals, but Armagon, the evil magician, intends to stand in their way once again.
However, this time, an unknown ally has stepped in to assist the Roman soldiers and their followers. Who is their mysterious assistant, and what do they really want?
You can help solve this puzzle, but you’ll need quick reflexes and management skills to uncover the truth and defeat Armagon in this exciting time management game.
Roads of Rome: Portals 3
PC release: July 2023.
Plot: The detachment of valiant warriors and workers of Rome continues their efforts to explore the mysterious worlds connected by ancient portals.
The servants of the evil magician Armagon managed to bring him back from the void, and it’s up to these brave Romans to push him back and banish evil forever! Take up arms for this epic time management saga!
