OK, I’ll be honest: Target Lock is not one of the skills I prioritize or care too much about in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, and you probably feel the same. Still, when you get the mission requiring you to attempt to inflict Target Lock on 100 characters, you just want to do it.
And to save you the trouble of going through your entire collection trying to figure out what characters have this ability – and then which are the best to use in actual battle, I have a full list for you below.

So let’s jump right in and check out all the Target Lock characters in SWGOH first, then look at those that I consider the best for attempting to inflict it more often than others.

Best Target Lock Characters in SWGOH

Most of the Target Lock characters above are conditional, and in most cases, the conditions required for them to attempt this skill are difficult. If you want to breeze through this stage and attempt to inflict Target Lock quickly, here are my recommended choices:
- General Grievous: The best option that tries to apply Target Lock on all enemies via the Grievous Wounds special.
- 50R-T: Another great option for this job, mainly via his special Sabacc Shuffle. It only has a 60% chance to apply it, but attempts are counted – and he tries to apply it on all enemies. Perfect!
- 0-0-0: It automatically applies TL to a random non-droid enemy at the start of each of its turns in battle.
- T3-M4: Similarly to 0-0-0 above, every time it starts its turn, there’s a 75% chance to apply Target Lock to a random enemy who doesn’t already have it.
- Tech: His basic attack inflicts it onto its target.
- IG-100 MagnaGuard: Again, a basic attack that tries to inflict Target Lock (but has a lower chance of actually applying it, which doesn’t really matter for the quest’s completion).
If you have one or more of the ones listed above, you’re basically all set and you only need a bit of grinding to complete the mission.
If not, any of the characters from the first list will help you get there, although more grinding will be required.
Now that we’ve got this covered, let’s move on to learning more about the game:
