In this article, I will list all the characters in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes that have the Potency Up skill, then list the absolute best ones that maximize Potency Up gains in combat to complete your quests.
Unlike other skills (like SWGOH Foresight Characters, for example), Potency up is not very common and currently there are just 30 characters with this skill in the game. Still plenty to choose from – with some better than others.
So let’s check them all out, then decide which ones should be part of your team for quick quest completion!

Best Potency Up Characters in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes
Out of the 30 above, several shine when it comes to applying this ability. I will list them from best to worst, in my opinion, but you should also keep in mind your squad synergies, and whether or not you have the character unlocked and of a high enough level.
Grand Moff Tarkin
By far the best option in the game. His Level 8 Special is Intimidation Tactics which gives him Potency Up for 3 turns.
It’s also a great overall special, as it does the following, too: Empire allies gain Tactical Supremacy for 2 turns, which can’t be copied. Inflict Critical Chance Down and Offense Down for 3 turns on all enemies. Rebel enemies can’t resist these debuffs. Gain 15% Turn Meter for each debuffed enemy.
Baylan Skoll
Another great option. His Lvl 8 Special, One Must Destroy, gives Offense Up and Potency Up for 2 turns to all Mercenary allies. So it’s situational, meaning that the more Mecenaries you have in the squad, the better this skill is.
Kit Fisto
Her Level 8 Special, Turn the Tide, gives Potency Up to All Allies for 3 turns. This is extremely useful for quickly racking up the “gain potency up” numbers.
Young Lando Calrissian
His Level 8 Special, Dealer’s Choice, does the following: “Dispel all debuffs from target other ally, then grant them Stealth and Potency Up for 2 turns. Young Lando Calrissian gains 50% Turn Meter.”
Even better, if he is Prepared, the cooldown for this skill is reduced by 1. So great for targeted Potency Up on a specific character.
Kyle Katarn
Great for quickly getting a set number of Potency Ups. His Level 8 Special, Just a Guy With a Lightsaber, easy does it:
“Deal Physical damage to target enemy twice. If the target has Force Influence, the second instance of damage deals 75% more damage. All allies gain Critical Chance Up and Potency Up for 2 turns.”
Cassian Andor
Last but not least, we have Cassian Andor whose Level 9 Unique ability, Groundwork, gives all rebel allies Protection Up for 3 turns.
