Plot: Rooms of Memory is a hidden object search game. You have come to claim your inheritance, the Bellows family estate. But to do so, you must unravel the mystery of the Portal and defeat the mysterious poltergeists which enter this world through it. Meet the characters in the house, collect all the talismans and relics, and follow the professor’s trail through space and time.

Game Play

A summary of the game play in Rooms of Memory:

• Play timed hidden object games.
• With multiple game play modes. Including daytime, nighttime (using a flashlight, to light your view), shadow or fog modes. Using silhouette or word lists.
• You can choose whether or not you want to magnify an area. This is helpful when the hidden item is quite small. Or well hidden.
• If you need help to find the hidden objects. There are a number of tools you can use. The usual hint button is available, but with limited hints. You can also add 30 seconds to the timer. Or use a heat sensitive magnifier. That will glow red when you are close to a hidden object.
• Once you have found all the items in a list. You will receive rewards. They can include coins and crystals. And special items such as parts of artifacts.
• When you’ve gathered all the artifact parts. You’ll get a message. Telling you that you can now assemble a particular artifact. These artifacts will help you towards solving the main mystery of the game.

Rewards & Artifacts

• As well as earning rewards, as detailed above. You also earn experience points. Once you have hit a certain amount of points. You can achieve a new level. At each new level a new room or location will become available.
• You can explore a room or hidden object scene as many times as you like. Each time the hidden objects will be in different places around the room. And the mode in which you play the scene will also be randomly applied. Though you can also pick a mode from a given selection.
• As well as HO scenes to explore. And artifacts to assemble. There are a lot of other tasks to complete. That all help you towards solving the main quest.
• Plus there are poltergeists and other obstacles. That are trying to prevent you from completing your tasks!

Review

If you love to play just hidden object games. Then you will enjoy Rooms of Memory. You can replay the hidden object scenes as many times as you like. This also helps you can earn more rewards. Including coins and experience points. All of which help you to unlock more areas. And move up through the levels.

You won’t get bored with visiting the same rooms over again. As the items are moved about. So they’re not always in the same location. Plus you are given different modes to play. So it’s not repetitive. And because these are timed hidden object games. You are under pressure to find all the items. So you don’t have time to be bored!

Tasks

You get messages pop-up. Alerting you to new tasks, in the left hand side of your screen. Showing you ongoing and short tasks.
Short tasks can be completed by exploring a room. Or finding an item.
Whilst ongoing tasks sometimes require further items, yet to be found. Or new rooms yet to be unlocked before you can complete them.
This means that you always have plenty of things to do in this game!

Notebook

You can easily pick up and play where you left off. As a notebook keeps track of what quests and tasks are still to be done.
And when you are short of time. You can always play a quick timed hidden object game. Collecting rewards as you go.
Though you may find, you’ll get caught up in the game. And end up playing it for hours!
Use the coins and crystals you’ve earned. To buy food or drink to replenish you energy.
You can also buy items with real money, if you want. But as you can easily earn more rewards by playing more HO games. You’ll find that this is not necessary.
